Feedback wanted from public on upcoming legislative changes

The province is inviting residents and interested stakeholders to share their feedback on changes to provincial laws in PEI. 

As the Department of Justice and Public Safety continues to regularly modernize provincial legislation, consultation documents are available at Department of Justice and Public Safety Public Consultations for people to review. 

“We need input from residents to make sure our legal system reflects the values of Islanders and incorporates the expertise within our communities. We look forward to getting underway with these amendments and making sure that provincial laws are up to date.”

• An Act to Amend the Justice of the Peace Act 
• Entry and Search Warrant Procedures Amendment Act

• Coroners Act 
• Correctional Services Act
