Structure replacement taking place in Blooming Point

Crews will be replacing a structure in Blooming Point on Route 218 (Blooming Point Road) due to a corrugated steel pipe reaching the end of its service life.

Dates: 

August 3, with work expected to be completed by September, 2026.

Traffic:

Two-way, one-lane, stop-and-go traffic will be in effect. When crews are not on site, drivers should follow the signs and obey the traffic signals located on site. 

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
