Premier Rob Lantz announces changes to Senior Management Team

Premier Rob Lantz announced changes today to the senior management team within the Government of Prince Edward Island.

The following changes will take effect as of August 21, 2026:

  • Norbert Carpenter to serve as Deputy Minister of Education and Early Years;
  • Bobbi Jo Flynn to serve as Deputy Minister of Social Development and Seniors;
  • Doriann MacMillan to serve as Chief Executive Officer of the PEI Energy Corporation; and
  • Ryan Neale to serve as Deputy Minister of Land and Environment.

“These are experienced leaders who understand our province, our public service and the work that needs to be done for Islanders. Each brings strong leadership and a wealth of experience to their new role, and I look forward to working with them as we continue to deliver on the priorities that matter to Islanders.”

John Cummings will return to his role as Executive Director of Educational Services after serving as Acting Deputy Minister of Education and Early Years. Cummings has been with the department since 2018.

“I want to sincerely thank John for stepping into the role of Acting Deputy Minister and for the leadership he has provided to Education and Early Years. His experience, guidance and commitment to support Island children and young people have been greatly appreciated,” said Premier Rob Lantz.

Gordon MacFadyen will become President of Slemon Park Corporation.

“I want to thank Gordon for his more than 20 years of service to the provincial government,” said Premier Rob Lantz. “His experience and leadership have made an important contribution across government, and I wish him well as he takes on this new role.”
