Asphalt resurfacing underway on Route 2 in Southwest Lot 16

Asphalt resurfacing will be taking place on Route 2 in Southwest Lot 16 beginning approximately 200 metres west of Route 122 (Allen Road) and proceeding west (towards Wellington) on Route 2 for approximately 3.3 km. This will improve the quality of the road surface and improve drainage.

Dates: Work is now underway and is expected to be completed by October 27. 

Traffic: Two-way, one-lane, stop-and-go traffic will be in effect. Delays can be expected. 

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
