Hunter River intersection lights go dark on Oct. 15
Starting October 15, the intersection lights will be turned off because the steep hill makes breaking and slowing down more difficult in the winter.
A two-way stop on Route 13 will be in place during this period. Drivers are advised to slow down, come to a complete stop, and continue only when it is safe. Please do not take risks or try to squeeze through gaps.
Highway signs will remind drivers of the change ahead so everyone can travel safely.
The lights will be turned on again in May ahead of increased summer traffic.
