Brae Harbour bridge replacement work to resume

Motorists are advised that construction has resumed on the Brae Harbour Bridge replacement project on Route 170.

Work will include embankment touchup, roadwork, asphalt, guardrail and site cleanup.

Dates: 

September 25, with work expected to be completed by October 14.

Traffic:

All traffic will continue through the site during the construction.

Traffic will be maintained in both directions through a single lane, with motorists required to yield to oncoming traffic and proceed when it is their turn.

A width restriction of 3.2 metres will be in place. 

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
