Route 14 detour required for Coleman Corner bridge construction
Motorists are advised that work continues on the replacement of the Coleman Corner Bridge on Route 2 in Coleman Corner (Carleton).
As part of the new bridge and approach road construction, access between Route 14 and Route 2 will be temporarily closed.
Dates:
The Route 14 closure begins September 17 at approximately 9 a.m.
The detour will be in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Work is expected to be completed by November 13.
Traffic:
Motorists travelling on Route 14 will be detoured via:
- Route 140 (Buchanan Road)
- Route 148 (Barclay Road)
- Route 142 (O'Leary Road)
- Route 2 (Western Road)
Safety:
- Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
- Reduce speed in the area.
- Obey flaggers and signs.
- Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
