Roadwork scheduled for Hazelbrook

Drivers are advised that roadwork is underway at the intersection of Route 1 and MacLennan Road in Hazelbrook to improve safety.

The project consists of constructing a right turn lane from Route 1 TCH onto the MacLennan Road, storm system upgrades, and construction of a concrete island on MacLennan Road.

Dates: 

Work is now underway and is expected to be completed by mid-October.

Traffic:

Traffic will be maintained through the work zone for the duration of the project. Intermittent lane closures may be necessary during construction. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to safely direct vehicles through the area.

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
