Curb installation underway at new Cornwall roundabout

Work to install new concrete curbs will take place at the intersection of Kingston Road (Route 235), Warren Grove Road (Route 248), and Lakeview Drive as construction continues on the new roundabout in Cornwall.

Dates:

Work is now underway and is expected to be completed by the end of the week.

Traffic:

Temporary lane closures will be in effect from the afternoon of August 26 through the morning of August 27.

Route 248 (Warren Grove Road) between the North River roundabout and the intersection with Kingston Road will be closed to northbound and southbound traffic at various times while work is taking place.

Access through this section will be maintained for emergency vehicles only.

All other motorists will be directed to a detour via the Trans-Canada Highway, Cornwall Road, and Kingston Road.

Safety:

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area.
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.

Stay in the loop and plan your route during road construction:
