Work scheduled for roundabout construction in Cornwall

Concrete work will take place at the intersection of Route 235 (Kingston Road), Route 248 (Warren Grove Road), and Lakeview Drive as part of the new roundabout construction in Cornwall.

Dates:

Concrete work will begin Wednesday, August 12 and is expected to take approximately one week to complete.

The remaining roundabout work is expected to be completed in September.

Traffic:

To protect the newly-placed concrete during the curing process, tractor trailers will be restricted to right turns only from all approaches at the intersection of Route 235 (Kingston Road), Route 248 (Warren Grove Road), and Lakeview Drive.

Left turns and through movements will not be permitted for tractor trailers from any direction.

These restrictions will be in effect from the morning of Wednesday, August 12, to Wednesday, August 19. Traffic control personnel will be on site to enforce the restrictions.

For all other traffic, the intersection will continue to operate as a roundabout when work is not taking place. During active construction periods, all-way, stop-and-go traffic will remain in effect.

Motorists should expect delays and may wish to consider alternate routes.

Safety:

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area.
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.

Stay in the loop and plan your route during road construction:
