Asphalt work scheduled for Kensington

Motorists are advised that asphalt work will be carried out on sections of Route 6 (Victoria Street East) and Garden Drive in Kensington.

On Route 6 (Victoria Street East), work will commence approximately 140 metres east (toward Cavendish) of the intersection with Irishtown Road. Construction will proceed eastward for 510 metres.

On Garden Drive, work will commence at the intersection of Garden Drive and Barrett Street and proceed north toward Lowther Street for a distance of 210 metres.

Dates: 

July 15, with work expected to be completed by July 21. 

Traffic:

Two-way, stop-and-go traffic will be in effect.

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
