Traffic reduced to single lane on Park Corner bridge

Motorists are advised that, effective immediately, the Sea View-bound lane on Route 20 at the Park Corner bridge is closed to all traffic.

The closure is a precautionary measure due to early signs of deterioration on the bridge. 

Design work for the bridge replacement is underway, with construction expected to begin in fall 2026.

Dates: 

The lane is expected to be closed until December 31, 2026.

Traffic:

The area will be reduced to a single lane, with alternating two-way traffic. Signage will be in place to assist motorists. 

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
