Lane reductions on Malpeque Road for cable work

Motorists and pedestrians are advised that crews will be installing underground cable along Malpeque Road in Charlottetown, including work through the median and turning onto Sherwood Road.

Dates:

June 8 to June 10 with work taking place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Traffic:

  • Drivers can expect temporary lane reductions in the work area. Short delays may occur, especially during busy times of the day.
  • Flaggers and traffic control devices will be in place to guide vehicles safely through the area.
  • Pedestrian routes may also be adjusted near the work zone, with signage provided to help direct foot traffic safely.

Safety:

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.

Stay in the loop and plan your route during road construction:
