Lane closures for Hillsborough Bridge

Motorists are advised of upcoming lane closures on the Hillsborough Bridge in Charlottetown to facilitate ongoing construction work.

Work will include hoisting anchorage supports and anchorages into position.

Dates:
June 8: Single-lane closure on the east side beginning at 9:30 a.m.; end time to be determined.

June 9: Single-lane closure on the west side from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

June 10: Single-lane closure on the west side from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (if required to complete work).

June 11: Double-lane closure on the west side from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Traffic:
Traffic will be reduced in the affected areas, and motorists should expect delays. Drivers are asked to use caution, follow posted signage, and obey traffic control personnel.

Safety:  

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
