Asphalt work scheduled for Kelly’s Cross

Asphalt shoulder widening and resurfacing will take place on Route 13 in Kelly’s Cross.

The work will begin approximately 40 metres west of the entrance to the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park Nordic Site and continue west for about 1 km.

This will improve the quality of the road surface and improve drainage, as well as adding a 1.2-metre paved shoulder.

Dates: 

Thursday, May 28, with work expected to last one week. The start date depends on weather conditions. 

Traffic:

Two-way, one-lane, stop-and-go traffic will be in effect. Delays can be expected.

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
