Bridge replacement scheduled for Alaska

Motorists are advised of a bridge replacement in the community of Alaska in Prince County.

The current structure has reached the end of its service life.

 

Dates:

Monday, May 11 with work expected to be completed by July 31, 2026.

 

Traffic: 

All traffic will be detoured during the entire project duration.

The detour will be on Route 138 (Beaton Road) from Alaska to Brae, and Route 14 (Brae) to Route 2 (Carleton).

 

Safety:

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
