Construction near Queen Elizabeth Hospital starts tomorrow

Shoreline protection construction starts on February 11 on Murchison Lane, near Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The work will strengthen shoreline protection and improve safety. 

Dates: 

Wednesday, February 11 until mid-March, depending on the weather. 

Traffic: 

  • The timing of construction depends on tide levels and nighttime work may be necessary.
  • Traffic control personnel will run two-way stop-and-go traffic for vehicles, and guide pedestrians through the area.

Safety: 

  • Reduce speed and be prepared to stop.
  • Plan extra time to reach your destination.
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
