Bridge in Grand River being replaced

Crews will be replacing the bridge on Route 12 in Grand River, east of MacDougall’s Corner, due to the current structure reaching the end of its service life.

Dates: 

Monday, November 10 and will be open to traffic in mid-to-late March.

Traffic: 

There will be a detour using Route 131 to reconnect to Route 12. 

Motorists can use Hall Road, Palmer Road, or MacIntosh Road to get around the work area.

Safety: 

  • Motorists should reduce speed and be prepared to stop.
  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area.
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
