Asphalt resurfacing and storm sewer replacement for Souris West
To provide a smoother driving surface and allow water to drain off the road more effectively, crews will resurface asphalt on Route 2 in Souris West. The existing storm sewer will also be replaced after reaching the end of its service life.
Work will start 150 meters west of the intersection of Route 2 and Route 330 - Lower Rollo Bay Road. It will then proceed west along Route 2 for 1,223 meters.
Dates:
Starting August 4, with completion expected in mid-September.
Traffic:
Single-lane, alternating traffic will be in effect.
Safety:
- Traffic should reduce speed and be prepared to stop.
- Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
- Reduce speed in the area.
- Obey flaggers and signs.
- Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
