Celebrating Island agriculture through photography

The Department of Agriculture is welcoming photo submissions showcasing the beauty of Prince Edward Island.

The Celebrate PEI Agriculture photo contest is now accepting images for the 2026 contest.

“We’re so fortunate to call PEI home. The views we see every day, whether on our commute or from our front windows, feel like they belong in a movie. The Celebrate PEI Agriculture photo contest is a great way to reflect on that, connect with our farming community, and get creative. I encourage everyone to join in and share what makes PEI special to them.”
- Bloyce Thompson, Minister of Agriculture

Photos can be submitted under five different categories beginning today until Monday, July 13, 2026. Categories include: Agriculture Is; Animals of Agriculture; Farmscapes; Modern Technology in Farming; and Wild Side.

Finalists will be showcased at the Celebrate PEI Agriculture Old Home Week event. Category winners will be presented with a Canada’s Food Island Cookbook, an Old Home Week Gate Pass (for the week), a $50 Canada’s Food Island gift card, and their framed photo following Old Home Week.

A special People’s Choice category winner will be selected by popular vote from the category winners during Old Home Week 2026 and the winner will receive a grand prize valued at $500.
