Asphalt work taking place in New Haven

Asphalt milling and paving is scheduled for Route 1 in New Haven. 

The work will take place between Eric’s Cross Road and the Strathgartney Provincial Park in the westbound through lane only. 

This work will improve the quality of the road surface and help with drainage.

Dates: 

October 20, with work expected to last one day. 

Traffic:

Stop-and-go traffic will be in effect in single lane sections. Delays can be expected.

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
