Asphalt work scheduled for South Lake

Work is underway on a 1.2-kilometre asphalt widening and resurfacing project on Route 16 (East Point Road) in South Lake. 

The work starts approximately 2.2 kilometres east of the East Point Road and Elmira Road intersection and continues east for 1.2 kilometres. 

Dates: 

October 9, with work expected to be completed by October 13.

Traffic:

During construction hours, two-way, stop-and-go traffic will be in effect. 

Motorists are advised to expect delays and use caution when traveling through the work zone.

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
