Asphalt widening taking place in North Milton

Motorists are advised of asphalt widening work taking place on Route 7 (Rustico Road) in North Milton.

Construction will start approximately 1.7 km north (towards Oyster Bed Bridge) of the intersection of Route 7 (Rustico Road) and Route 224 (New Glasgow Road), and will continue in that direction for approximately 2 km.

Dates: 

July 14, with work expected to be completed by July 17.

Traffic:

Two-way, stop-and-go traffic will be in effect.

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area. 
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
