Abby Hustler recognized with first-ever Excellence in Sport Pin

Islander Abby Hustler has received the inaugural Excellence in Sport pin honouring her milestone as PEI’s first female hockey player to join the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL).

The provincial Excellence in Sport pin recognizes Islanders who have excelled at the highest level of their sport, shown exceptional leadership, and made lasting impacts in Prince Edward Island.

“Abby’s achievement reflects her dedication and athleticism. As PEI’s first female player in the PWHL, she is inspiring Islanders and leaving her mark on the sport. It is an honour to recognize her with the inaugural Excellence in Sport Pin.”

Hustler was presented with the pin this past Saturday in her hometown of Miminegash, PEI. 

The pin design is inspired by the natural beauty of Prince Edward Island and features flowing waves, sandy shores, and fields rising as podiums symbolizing achievement, movement, and growth.
