New fishing map helps anglers plan trips

Islanders can now use a new online fishing map that helps them plan their fishing trips in time for the extended angling season. 

The interactive map has been created to provide anglers with up-to-date information on fishing locations and regulations. 

“The fishing map gives anglers the most recent information they need to plan their trips. Anglers will appreciate the ability to see regulations for individual sections of rivers and may discover a few fishing spots they haven’t explored yet.”

Users can filter the map by different criteria to see what types of fish can be found in various areas, locate access points, and identify contaminated water zones.

To view the map, visit PEI Fishing Map. A video tutorial is included to help users navigate the site. If any additional information is needed, questions can be directed by email to anglingideas@gov.pe.ca.
