Asphalt work scheduled for Route 235

Motorists are advised that asphalt widening and resurfacing work will take place on two sections of Route 235 (Kingston Road) in Kingston and Cornwall.

Work in Kingston will commence at the intersection of Kingston Road and Colville Road and proceed west for a distance of 1 km. 

Work in Cornwall will commence at the intersection of Kingston Road and Linwood Road and proceed east for a distance of 1 km. 

Dates: 

September 15, with work expected to be completed by September 17.

Traffic:

During construction hours, two-way, stop-and-go traffic will be in effect. Motorists can expect delays and are advised to use caution when traveling through the work zone.

Safety: 

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
