Cornwall roundabout construction update
Asphalt paving will be taking place for the new roundabout construction at the intersection of Route 235 (Kingston Road), Route 248 (Warren Grove Road), and Lakeview Drive in Cornwall.
Dates: Wednesday, September 2 to Thursday, September 3
Traffic: Temporary lane closures will be in place to accommodate construction activities.
- From 7:00 am to 11:00 am, Route 248 (Warren Grove Road) between the North River Roundabout and the new roundabout will be closed to northbound traffic while work is taking place.
- From 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Route 248 (Warren Grove Road) between the North River Roundabout and the new roundabout will be closed to southbound traffic while work is taking place.
During lane closures, traffic will be routed along the Trans-Canada Highway, Cornwall Road, and Kingston Road. Emergency vehicles will continue to have priority access.
Safety:
- Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
- Reduce speed in the area and be prepared to stop.
- Obey flaggers and signs.
- Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
