Expectant Mothers diverted to PCH Wednesday evening and overnight
Patients expecting to give birth at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital are being diverted to the Prince County Hospital in Summerside this evening and overnight. This also includes patients coming for a fetal assessment.
This is due to water damage in an operating room, which has temporarily impacted services.
Damage is currently being assessed, and an update will be provided tomorrow morning.
Health PEI appreciates the public’s patience and understanding during this time.
