Ribbon cutting marks official opening of Summerside Community Health Centre

Health PEI officially celebrated the opening of the Summerside Community Health Centre today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by government officials, healthcare leaders, staff, community partners, and guests.

The new facility brings together a wide range of primary care and community-based health services under one roof, creating a central hub for healthcare in Summerside and surrounding communities. The centre now houses services including primary care through the Harbourside Patient Medical Home, chronic disease programs, public health services, community mental health and addictions, the Provincial Geriatrics Program, and cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. 

Speakers at today's event highlighted the role the Summerside Community Health Centre will play in strengthening team-based care and supporting the evolving healthcare needs of Islanders for years to come.

Health PEI extends its sincere thanks to staff, healthcare providers, community partners, contractors, and all those who contributed to the successful opening of the new facility.
