North Shore and Cavendish transit schedule released
The North Shore and Cavendish summer transit service will return for the season beginning Tuesday, June 23, with two additional pilot runs from Charlottetown to Cavendish added this year to better support youth working in the area.
The service will operate until September 7.
Bookings are now open, with trips available for reservation up to 30 days in advance.
The service offers seven daily trips to and from Charlottetown, and two daily trips to and from Summerside.
With fares set at $2 for a one-way trip, the service provides an affordable transportation option for seasonal employees, residents, and visitors. Monthly passes are available for $20 for adults and $10 for seniors and post-secondary students. Children in kindergarten through Grade 12 can ride free of charge.
Originally introduced as a pilot project in 2022, the service has since become a permanent part of the summer transit schedule. Ridership continued to grow in 2025, with nearly 11,000 one-way trips recorded over the season.
All rural transit trips, operated by T3 Transit, must be booked in advance through Transit PEI. The North Shore and Cavendish schedule can be found under the Northern Transit section at www.t3transit.ca/transit-pei-schedules.
