Acadian and francophone community invited to take part in ministerial summer visits

Acadians, francophones and francophiles are invited to join a community-focused summer tour to share their feedback on priorities for PEI’s French-speaking population.

Building on productive discussions with the Société acadienne et francophone de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard (SAF’îLE) and a commitment to hear directly from members of the community, the Minister responsible for Acadian and Francophone Affairs is launching an annual summer series of community open-door events.

“When I first took on this role, my very first commitment to the Acadian and francophone community was to listen and to meet them where they are, in their home community. This new summer tour I am initiating is meant to give community members a chance to get to know me, and for me to hear directly from the people we serve. I want to know what is working well, and I also want to know where we can make things better.”

- Minister responsible for Acadian and Francophone Affairs Zack Bell
