Newton Bridge replacement: The final stages of construction are underway on the new Newton Bridge. This phase of the project includes asphalt resurfacing, building the road base on both sides of the bridge, and installing a guardrail. 

Dates: May 14, with completion expected in June. 

Traffic: All traffic will be detoured onto Route 225 Anderson Road and Route 109 Scales Pond Road for the duration of the project. 

Safety: Obey the flaggers and signs. Using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, and speeding are against the law.
