Motorists advised of duathlon in New Dominion

Motorists are advised of increased pedestrian and cyclist activity in New Dominion for the Tough Tater Duathlon. 

Dates:
May 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Traffic: 
The event will take place on Route 19, Nine Mile Creek Road, Canoe Cove Road (Route 19A), Long Creek Road, and Route 10. 

Roads will remain open; however, minor delays are expected. 

Drivers are asked to slow down, watch for participants, and follow posted signage and volunteer direction.

Safety:

  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
